We’d love to visit Whitby Abbey. I am fascinated with Gothic architecture and would love to see the remains of the monastery up close. Happy to know that there is so much to see and do in the area. A visit to Scarborough Castle sounds exciting too.

Both Whitby and Scarborough are pretty seaside towns close to Yorkshire.
Perched on the hilltop the Whitby Abbey is blessed with stunning coastal views and the Partridge strolling on the green ground is an amusing sight.
Great to know that Whitby Abbey is associated with the famous explorer Captain James Cook. The beautiful arches of the telling stories of saints, poets and dracula is really fascinating. And the Robin Hood Bay named after the outlaw hero is amazing place I would love to visit. The dramatic coastline views from the iconic Scarborough castle is some thing I don’t want to miss at all.

It’s my dream to visit English seaside towns like Whitby and Scarborough. They look very beautiful and so many history lies in the two places. It’s interesting that you can find story about Dracula at the Whitby Abbey. I’m a seafood lover, so I will definitely try the fish and chips at The Magpie Cafe.

I would love to go on a trip around Whitby, Scarborough and Harrogate. I actually have friends in both Leeds and Harrogate, so it would be a great idea to visit them and extend the trip with a road trip. This is one part of the UK I have yet to visit. Whitby looks so pretty, and reminds me a little bit of St Ives. I would love to go hiking at Robin Hood’s Bay, those views are insane.

Those inclines indeed look very steep, what a beautiful view of the greenery and water you get though. I had fish and chips when I visited London and I would be very tempted to have it again in Whitby to compare! I love discovering more small seaside towns so thanks for putting a spotlight on these.

I can’t really believe I’ve still not visited Whitby or Scarborough! Looks perfect for our interests, particularly the abbey and castle. We always enjoy self-drive trips. We could do this over a long weekend from home!

Wow, what a fun and scenic tour of the area, that was gorgeous. I love these ruined abbeys, they are so much fun to explore and that coastline drive with those cliffs, harbors and towns are really spectacular. It would be fun to do this type of tour and I would love to do the same that you have share here.
