Grandfather Mountain views looks spectacular. I would have to spend some time at the Wilson Center. I love these learning centers where you can get a more in depth understanding of the history and geology of a region.

By the way, I had no idea Forrest Gump was filmed here at the Grandfather mountain and it would be nice to walk around here. Glad to know too that there’s an animal habitat nearby. We will surely consider this during our weekend getaways.
